Meet Debbie Laughlin
Debbie Laughlin is a distinguished storyteller and community advocate, renowned for her ability to connect people through shared experiences. In 1997, Debbie moved from her homeland of Scotland to the United States, where she quickly adapted to a new way of life. As a military wife moving frequently across the United States, she mastered the art of building community and forging connections in diverse environments.
Following a significant personal transition, Debbie channeled her creativity into founding a successful ten-year photography business, where she honed her networking skills. Her work in photography earned her national recognition, featuring in esteemed publications such as The Knot and Wedding Wire. Debbie's talents were further acknowledged through top ten percent national visibility in photo contests, and she played a pivotal role in guiding new photographers in published style shoots.
In 2020, Debbie took on the role of CEO and Chief Mum Officer of Business Among Moms (BaM), a national networking group with chapters nationwide. Under her leadership, BaM was recognized by CNN for effectively adapting the way women worked and connected during the pandemic. Debbie's influence extended to numerous speaking engagements, including the Modern Femme Movement, where she inspired women to dream big and turn their aspirations into reality.
Debbie is also deeply committed to community service. She has held positions on various boards and committees, including Room Redux, River City Advocacy, and the Comal Literacy Foundation. Currently, she serves as President of the Elevate Networking Alliance and as a committee member for their bi-annual fundraisers, contributing to raising significant funds for local non-profits.
Debbie's storytelling and community-building efforts are evident in her role as the host of engaging trivia nights and captivating murder mystery events. Her work is grounded in personal stories and real-life lessons that resonate with audiences, encouraging them to embrace their vulnerabilities and celebrate their achievements.
Inspired by Willy Wonka's words, “We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams,” Debbie encourages others to nurture their creativity and pursue their dreams. She believes in the power of imagination to drive both personal and professional growth.
In her most recent role as the Women's Leadership Coalition Liaison, Debbie continues to empower and inspire women through her leadership and advocacy. Join Debbie on her mission to foster community, ignite creativity, and inspire connection—one story at a time.
